UN chief accepts Palestinian ICC membership: spokesperson
The move will allow Palestine to lodge war crime cases against Israel
UNITED NATIONS, United States (AFP) - UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has accepted the request by the state of Palestine to join the International Criminal Court, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said Wednesday.
The move will allow the ICC to open cases as of April 1 on serious crimes committed in the Palestinian territories.
