(Web Desk) – Android users have to be very careful while installing anything from Play Store as a new Android virus called GhostCTRL can reportedly call records, steal photos and browser history.

Smartphone users can be tricked into installing the app. The malware software can steal everything from inside the phone including photos and videos. It can even get access to the microphone and spy on people by listening to their calls.

Trend Micro researchers identified GhostCTRL and told it can get into the phone through popular Android apps like WhatsApp and Pokemon Go. This virus has some exceptional advance techniques through which it can record each and everything through the phone’s camera and microphone. Moreover, the browser activity and call records can become unprotected as well.

It was highlighted that the malware is programmed better than other smartphone viruses. It can help cyber criminals to collect sensitive and cause harm to Android users, so users need to remain cautious and avoid installing applications from unauthentic sources.
