People will now be allowed to make calls within and outside UAE

(Web Desk) – Smartphone users in the United Arab Emirates remained deprived of the video call and voice call features of WhatsApp for a quite a time, but the wait is finally over now.

UAE residents have confirmed that the instant messaging app has recently given them the feature of voice call and video call. This will help people stay in touch with their friends, families and the loved ones.

Expats in UAE will be benefited the most with this application. Its port city Dubai is amongst the costliest cities in the world and acquiring facilities isn’t cheap. UAE has a large number of expatriates living in it who have come all the way from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and several other countries. The lifting of ban by WhatsApp in the country will be pleasant as now they will be able to stay in contact with their families and friends in homelands through video call and voice calls. Although there are alternatives like Skype, but the instant messaging app has a high number of users.

WhatsApp was really quiet in lifting the ban. It came as a surprise for users who observed the feature recently. The app uses mobile roaming or WiFi network to connect the users. The clarity in voice calls and video calls will largely depend on the speed of the internet. UAE residents were pretty happy now that they can make calls to their family members and friends without charges.
