Jansher Khan suggested Pakistan Squash Federation to raise this matter at international level.

ISLAMABAD (Daily Dunya) – Former international squash champion Jansher Khan has slammed India over not issuing visas to Pakistani players for participation in Asian Squash Championship.

He said that players are peace ambassadors who provide ways to strengthen relations with other states without getting involved into politics. He said that Pakistan Squash Federation should raise this matter at international level.

Earlier, PSF Senior Vice President Air Vice Marshal Shahid Akhtar Alvi had written a letter to Asian Squash Federation (ASF), demanding to shift the championship from India due to its conventional stubbornness and unprofessional attitude.

The letter stated that Indian High Commission did not oblige Pakistan players and delayed the visas on purpose despite submission of the applications one month ago.

Pakistan’s four players which included Farhan Mahboob, Farhan Zaman, Waqar Mahboob and Tayyab Aslam were to participate in the championship that is scheduled in India’s city Chennai from April 26 to 30.
