Pakistan's first gold-medalist powerlifter awaits government's assistance
Twinkle Sohail is determined to bag more medals for Pakistan.
ISLAMABAD (Sports Desk) – Pakistan’s first athlete to bag a gold medal in Asian Powerlifting Championship Twinkle Sohail is determined to bring home more medals of facilities conforming to international standards are provided.
She said that no sport can progress without government’s support and sponsorship.
In a statement given by Twinkle Sohail, she said that the national team will participate in Asian/Oceania Powerlifting Championship to be held from December 4 to 11 in New Zealand. The team will comprise 9 players, including 5 men and 4 women.
