Hockey: Rana Mujahid resigns as Shahbaz Senior appointed new Secretary PHF
Rashid Junior has been appointed Chief Selector of PHF
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Rana Mujahid resigned from his post on Wednesday. President PHF Sajjad Khokhar has appointed Shabaz Senior as Secretary while Rashid Junior has appointed Chief Selector, reported Dunya News.
Large scale changes are being made in PHF structure in the aftermath of failure to qualify for Olympics. After the resignations of President PHF, Chief Selector and Head Coach, Secretary PHF has also tendered his resignation.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, President PHF said that former hockey captain Shahbaz Senior has been appointed Secretary while Rashid Junior has been appointed Chief Selector of PHF.
Sajjad Khokhar said that work is underway to field a blue Astroturf in the country. He said that he has assembled his team to run the administrative affairs of the board.
