OSTERSUND, Sweden (AP) - Olympic champion Darya Domracheva of Belarus won the women s 15-kilometer individual race at the biathlon World Cup on Thursday.

Domracheva took an early lead and claimed her 20th World Cup victory in 46 minutes, 43.6 seconds, with two penalties.

She came in 27.9 seconds ahead of Kaisa Makarainen of Finland, who missed two targets.

Clean-shooting Valj Semerenko of Ukraine was third, 38.1 seconds behind Domracheva.

The weather improved from Wednesday, when Norway s Emil Hegle Svendsen won the men s 20K individual race. Gusts were replaced by a light breeze that made shooting much easier for the women.
