ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A significant improvement has been witnessed in the internal security situation of the country as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has completed first two years in the government today (Tuesday).
During this tenure, the federation has sped up interior ministry’s accountability process, introduced new policies for transparency and online and on-arrival visa services.
The ministry has also ensured action against encroachments and launched anti-smuggling campaign.
The government has bagged noteworthy success in fulfilling the guidelines of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and took step to root out the network of banned organizations from Pakistan.
Despite achieving important targets, the government still faces challenges including making National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) functional, implementation on standard operating procedures (SOPs) to curb coronavirus spread, extremism and restoration of law and order in the interior ministry and its sub-ordinate departments.
The federation has failed to register prominent work for the safety of the cities in the country.
Entire world is using CCTV cameras for the protection of the nationals but in Pakistan, 800 out of 1900 cameras of Islamabad Safe City Project are not working.
