World must take notice of aggravating humanitarian crisis in IoK: FO

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Foreign Office has termed the recent statements of Indian President and Prime Minister as irresponsible, stating that it is an attempt to divert world’s attention from occupied Kashmir.

According to FO, Pakistan dismissed the allegations of Indian leadership on mistreating the minorities, saying that the actions on Indian minorities, especially against Muslims, are not hidden and shooting a student is enough to expose the real face of India.

FO spokeswoman Ayesha Farooqui expressed that Indian government is doing such so to divert the attention from its brutalities in the held valley, mounting protests in their own country and also from its enemy policies that taking action against its own minorities under the influence of RSS.

She further said that Indian government is following an anti-Pakistan strategy to make their election campaign successful. “The allegations of mistreatment of minorities in Pakistan are part of the false and Indian-led propaganda,” she added. She said that cruel acts against Indian minorities is not a hidden fact whereas, RSS and BJP are responsible for desecration and demolition of the Babri Masjid.

Ayesha Farooqui asserted that Muslims were massacred in Gujrat through RSS campaign. “A campaign was launched to spread hatred against Indian minorities, especially Muslims”, she said, adding that the growing extremism and intolerance of Hindutva ideology is a threat to the minorities residing in India.

Pakistan urged the international community to take cognizance of unprecedented persecution of minorities in India, particularly Muslims, and the continuing inhumane siege which is aggravating humanitarian crisis in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. “We hope steps would be taken to hold India accountable for its illegal action and make it respect its international obligations,” the spokesperson concluded.
