However, PML-N's Maryam Nawaz has excused herself from attending the meeting.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman has made a shocking disclosure about “conditions” upon which the opposition’s Azadi March sit-in was called off.

“I was assured that a change would come in the month of December […] I was assured that new general elections would be held in the next three months,” he revealed.

“We need to wait whether in-house change [in the parliament] is brought or the entire government is sent packing,” he said.

Meanwhile, Fazl has called multiparty conference (MPC) of the opposition parties on November 26 aimed at discussing next course of action against the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Sources told the media that Fazl has invited several influential politicians including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Ahsan Iqbal and Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and senior leadership of Awami National Party (ANP), Qaumi Watan Party, National Party (NP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP), Jamiat Ahle-Hadees, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) to attend the meeting.

However, PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz has excused herself from attending the meeting due to health issues, including blood pressure and diabetes. Doctors have recommended her bed rest.

Instead, PML-N has decided to sent its four-member delegation, including senator Raja Zafarul Haq, Ahsan Iqbal, Ayaz Sadiq and Amir Muqam to attend the opposition’s meeting

In an apparent bid to reorganise political campaign for pressurising the government, the opposition parties seem to formulate new strategy in the light of recommendation made by opposition’s Rehbar Committee.

Fazl telephoned Ahsan Iqbal and other politicians to attend the important meeting.

The JUI-F chief and Bilawal agreed to make the committee more active, and spoke about certain political matters. Both leaders are expected to meet in the next few days.
