Polling for PS-86-Dadu by-election underway

DADU (Dunya News) - Polling for the by-election for Sindh Assembly constituency PS-86-Dadu is underway today (Thursday), Dunya News reported. The polling started at 8am and will continue till 5pm without any break.

Sindh Assembly’s seat of Juhi (PS-86-Dadu) fell vacant due to the death of MPA Ghulam Shah Jilani of Pakistan People’s Party on September 13 after protracted illness.

A strong contest is expected between Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Syed Saleh and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) candidate Imdad Leghari.

According to Election Commission, 158 polling stations have been set up in the constituency for 199,825 registered voters out of which 60 polling stations have been declared as sensitive while more than 10 have been declared highly sensitive.
