The Commission expects that such unauthenticated and fake references will be avoided in future.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday rejected Jamiat Ulem-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s claims in which he alleged that ECP had admitted that results of 95 percent polling stations were without the signatures of polling agents.

The ECP stated that the JUI-F chief linked result of 95 percent polling stations with the commission’s report but it has not released such statistics in any of its report.

The Commission further expects that such unauthenticated and fake references will be avoided in future.

Previously, on his allegations of rigging in the 2018 election, Fazlur Rehman said that the results were not given to the polling agents, adding that according to the ECP reports, the polling agents were removed, while 95 percent of Form-45 were not provided.

He said: “After the report of the ECP, there is no need for an investigation. It has been a year since a parliamentary committee was formed but even one meeting was not held.”
