Nawaz shifted to Services Hospital after his platelet count dropped critically low

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Incarcerated former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif was shifted to Lahore’s Services Hospital after his platelet count dropped critically low.

The former prime minister’s personal physician Dr Adnan Malik took to the twitter and stated that Nawaz Sharif required immediate in-hospital care.

Later, a team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) shifted the PML-N supremo to Lahore’s Services Hospital for medical treatment.

On the other hand, Leader of Opposition in National Assembly and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif and Sharif’s son-in-law Captain (r)Safdar also reached outside the anti-graft watchdog’s Lahore office.

On the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will be responsible if anything happened to his brother and party supremo.

Meanwhile, a large number of party leaders and workers reached outside the hospital, while dozens of PML-N workers burned tyres and blocked the main Multan Road.

A medical board headed by Prof Ayaz examined the ailing PML-N supremo. Nawaz Sharif was admitted at the hospital after medical examination.

According to sources, Nawaz Sharif was shifted to a private room in surgical unit of the Services Hospital. Sources said that he will remain in hospital till completion of his check-up.

Sources further said that the VIP room of the hospital where the former prime minister will stay has been declared sub-jail. NAB and police will remain in hospital for security purposes.
