Proceedings in the Senate have sent a positive message across the border: Qureshi

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said application in Indian Supreme Court against abrogation of special status of Occupied Kashmir is biggest test of India’s judiciary.

Addressing the upper house of parliament, he said nation need not to worry on the issue and opposition has shown big heart on the issue by supporting government. Qureshi said he is pleased with opposition’s stance on the issue despite having political differences. He said the innocent Kashmiris are looking towards us for resolution of the issue.

He said the proceedings in the Senate have sent a positive message across the border , adding that Mushahid Hussain and Shery Rehman knew Kahmir issue well.

He said on the other hand leadership in India is not on one page and politicians were barred from visiting occupied valley. He said Philosophy of RSS is a biggest test of Indian SC.

Qureshi said our enemy wants to take advantage of our poor economy but we will have to think about political and diplomatic solution. He said we informed UNSC about the alarming situation in occupied valley by discussing the matter with China.
