NAB approves ten new inquiries, two investigations

The executive board meeting of National Accountability Bureau was held in Islamabad on Wednesday.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The executive board meeting of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was held in Islamabad on Wednesday which was chaired by chairman Justice (R) Javed Iqbal.

The meeting gave approval of conducting ten new inquiries and two investigations in mega corruption cases. The meeting also decided to send cases against Swat University officers and staff to chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It was also decided in the meeting that cases against Charsadda revenue officers will be sent to DEO Kohat while cases against officials of Directorate of Civil Defense will be sent to chief secretary.

Speaking on the occasion, NAB chairman Justice (R) Javed Iqbal has said the bureau is striving to recover the plundered amount from the corrupt elements.

He also said that country s development hinges on the business community and special centres have been established at NAB s headquarters and regional offices to address their complaints.
