NAB raids Shehbaz's house to arrest his nephew

Raid was conducted for the arrest of Abbas Sharifs son Abdul Aziz.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday raided the house of Leader of Opposition in National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif to arrest his nephew in Chaudhary Sugar Mills case.

According to sources, the raid was conducted for the arrest of Abbas Sharif’s son Abdul Aziz. He is wanted in Chaudhary Sugar Mills case.

It is pertinent here to mention that the anti-graft watchdog had arrested Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz for skipping appearance in Chaudhry Sugar Mills and money laundering cases.

The PML-N leader was taken into custody when she arrived at Kot Lakhpat Jail to meet her father and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The anti-corruption watchdog had also detained ex-PM Nawaz Sharif’s nephew Yousaf Abbas.

Maryam Nawaz was unable to provide the required details of foreign investment in sugar mills while she was also failed to satisfy the bureau regarding source of income for purchasing the shares.

NAB has claimed that three foreigners had transferred 11000 shares worth millions of rupees on Maryam Nawaz’s name.

The PML-N leader will be produced before the accountability court on August 9 for remand.
