Delaying tactics are being used in this case: NAB

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi did not appear before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday in an ongoing inquiry of illegal appointments in PSO and misuse of authority.

As per details, NAB summoned former premier today along with questionnaire but he skipped the hearing and did not submit an answer.NAB sources said delaying tactics are being used in this case.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been accused of illegal appointments in PSO and misuse of authority when he was holding portfolio of petroleum minister.

Meanwhile PML-N showed the questionnaire given to former premier by NAB to media. Abbasi was given questionnaire in seven different inquiries.

The first inquiry is about heavy perks and illegal appointments in PSO, second inquiry is about different LNG agreements, third and fourth inquiry includes illegal appointments in OGDCL, fifth inquiry is about unnecessary purchase of bullet proof cars, sixth include illegal contracts of LNG and seventh is about import of LNG from Qatar on high rates.

Abbasi was asked to submit written reply of 136 questions in these 7 inquiries. PML-also issued details of assets and accounts of Abbasi.
