Shahbaz denies rumors of seeking political asylum in UK
Shahbaz Sharif maintained that he would return to Pakistan before the budget session.
LONDON (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif categorically denied rumors that he has filed an application to seek political asylum in the United Kingdom, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
He said that those who are spreading these rumors will be answerable to the people of Pakistan.
Talking about his health, the PML-N president said that he is undergoing some medical check-up in London. He said some blood tests have been done while the rest will be completed soon after which he will return to Pakistan.
The PML-N president maintained that he would return to Pakistan before the start of budget session for the fiscal year 2019-20 in the National Assembly (NA).
