India requests counselor access to Kulbhushan Jadhav
India urged Pakistan to take immediate decision on the formal request
ISLAMABAD ( Dunya News) - India on Tuesday has requested Pakistan for counselor access to the arrested Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav and four other prisoners under custody.
The prisoners include Kulbhushan Jadhav, Mohammad Javed, Abdul Hakim, Mohammad Ismael and one other.
According to diplomatic sources, India regarding Kulbhushan Jadhav to be a civilian prisoner, demanded counselor access be provided to all five prisoners.
India urged Pakistan to take immediate decision on the formal request.
As per details garnered by diplomatic sources, India has also demanded the release of 10 prisoners who have completed their sentence.
Furthermore, a note has been sent for repatriation of 385 Indian fishermen.
Earlier, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) reserved the verdict in Jadhav case in February 2019, who was apprehended by the Pakistani authorities for espionage and was sentenced to death by a military court in April 2017.
