ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has Friday moved a petition in the Supreme Court (SC) to bar the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from investigating into fake accounts case.

Sardar Latif Khosa, Asif Zardari’s counsel, filed the petition in which it was stated that the court directed the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to assist the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in this case but the FIA is still conducting parallel investigation.

Interrogation of one case by two institutions is against the law, it was said. The top court was told that the FIA summoned Asif Ali Zardari’s legal advisor Abu Bakr Zardari and inquired him about details of specific bank accounts.
