May Allah bless him long life and good health. Ameen

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that her father has been taken for further tests and evaluation.

Maryam Nawaz took to the twitter to share latest updates about her father’s health.

She said that doctors looked worried as Nawaz Sharif was taken for tests.

“May Allah bless him long life and good health. Ameen,” she said and thanked her followers for the prayers.

Earlier, the former prime minister’s troponin test determines that he did not suffer heart attack, according to reports.

Yesterday, blood tests were conducted to profile his heart issues.

Sharif has been undergoing various medical tests at the Services Hospital in Lahore to ascertain severity of different diseases he has been suffering from.

Besides, he also underwent CT scan and ultrasound to examine the level of his kidney problem.

The tests found stones in his left kidney.

A reexamination of his blood samples in the Jinnah Hospital determined that he has been facing earlier heart issues and not symptoms related to heart attack.

Pakistan s former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who is serving a seven-year jail term over graft charges, was taken to hospital on Saturday, officials said.

Sharif was transferred from Kot Lakhpat prison in the eastern city of Lahore to a government hospital, where he was undergoing medical tests.

Sharif has been facing multiple health issues. He was transferred from jail to hospital last July over an irregular electrocardiogram reading during his first prison term, when a graft court sentenced him to ten years in a case revolving around family properties in London.

He was released in September after another court suspended his sentence pending an appeal hearing -- but was again sentenced to seven years in prison for corruption in a second case.

Sharif has denied all the charges against him and claims he is being targeted by the country s powerful security establishment.

The Supreme Court disqualified Sharif from politics for life over the allegations last year, and directed an anti-corruption body to investigate three different charges regarding his family s properties and businesses.

Sharif has been prime minister three times but it has been a rough ride.
