Indias Kartarpur border opening endorsement victory of peace lobby: Fawad
The information minister said that it will encourage voice of reasons on both sides of the border
ISLAMABAD (Dunya news) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said that Pakistan welcomes the opening of Kartarpur border.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Thursday, he said that the step will benefit the Sikh community as it is birth place of Baba Guru Nanak.
The minister said that Indian Cabinet’s endorsement of Pakistan’s proposition on Kartarpur Border opening was victory of peace lobby in both the countries.
Chaudhry went on to say that Pakistan had given this suggestion because of its desire for peace, adding that Pakistan wants peace with both India and Afghanistan.
The information minister said that it will encourage the voice of reasons on both sides of the border.
