CJP takes notice of poor condition at UCH, announces to visit on Saturday

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has taken notice of the poor condition at United Christian Hospital (UCH) and announced to visit it on Saturday.
During the hearing at Supreme Court (SC) Lahore registry, the top judge directed to provide health facilities at the medical centers for the relief of the masses.
Christian community should not feel deprived, he added.
On the other hand, Supreme Court, in its big decision, has termed authority to seek Chief Minister’s prerogative of permission for launching cases against corruption in Punjab as unconstitutional.
While announcing the verdict on the plea of Director General in Punjab’s anti-corruption unit Hussain Asghar, the apex court suspended CM‘s authority to approve inquiry into graft cases.
The court has also directed to conclude anti-corruption cases that are under hearing at Lahore High Court (LHC) in two weeks.
