Squeezed gas supply compounds public problems amid Siberian winds' arrival

Gas supply was severely affected in Patel Bagh, Kori road, Gulstan road and some other areas.

 

Quetta (Dunya News) – People of Quetta and other parts of Baluchistan province are experiencing inconvenience owing to suspended as well as intermitted gas supply with the advent of Siberian winds in Pakistan hitting the provincial capital hard since Saturday.

According to details, Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, Kalat and other suburb areas of Balochistan are in the grip of severe cold as the temperature has dropped below freezing point.

Gas supply was severely affected in Patel Bagh, Kori road, Gulistan road and some other localities. In some areas gas pressure was so low that house hold women could not prepare meals. The gas woes have rendered the citizens to fetch meals from hotels that too are affected with the low pressure or complete gas halt.

Despite hike in gas tariff the government failed to improve the commodity s supply to domestic consumers. The people have demanded government to restore gas supply immediately.
