QUETTA (Dunya News) – The Balochistan government faces an economic crisis that is far worse than the financial plague that has gripped the federal government, an official said Friday.

Balochistan Finance Minister Arif Muhammad Hasni said the previous PML-N government indulged in un-necessary recruitments in departments, which resulted in huge loss to the provincial exchequer.

He said the provincial government will apprise Prime Minister Imran Khan of its financial problems during the latter’s visit to Quetta.

Imran is scheduled to visit Quetta on Saturday where he will preside over a high-level meeting to review security and progress on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
