Sharif family members' parole has been extended for three days to attend Kulsoom Nawaz's funeral.

LAHORE (Dunay News) – Doctors have advised ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif to take complete rest after his health deteriorated on his arrival at Jati Umra, following wife Begum Kulsoom Nawaz’s death.

Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar are currently present at Sharifs’ residence in Lahore where they are attending family members coming to offer condolences over Kulsoom’s demise.

On the other hand, Punjab government has decided to extend the parole of Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd.) Safdar for three days so that they can attend the last rituals of Kulsoom Nawaz on Friday.

They will remain within the boundaries of Jati Umra and will only be allowed to meet their family members.

The Sharif family was earlier released from Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail on 12-hour parole, hours after Kulsoom Nawaz passed away at a London hospital.

A PIA flight carrying the casket will fly from Heathrow airport tomorrow at 10pm. It will arrive in Pakistan on Friday at 6am after which a second funeral prayer will be held at Jati Umra.

Kulsoom will be laid to rest the same day beside the grave of her father-in-law Mian Sharif at Jati Umra. Nawaz Sharif sons Hassan and Hussain Nawaz won’t be in Lahore to attend the funeral prayers owing to legal complications.
