CPEC security won't be compromised, COAS tells Chinese envoy
General Bajwa said CPEC is the economic future of Pakistan.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa at the General Headquarters on Tuesday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two discussed matters of mutual interest and regional security.
Ambassador Jing lauded the visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and support for the economic corridor project in Pakistan, it added.
General Bajwa, on his part, said CPEC is the economic future of Pakistan and “its security shall never be compromised”.
