Committee to probe recovery of liquor bottles from Sharjeel Memon's room
CJP responded Karachis situation was better than past.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Additional IG Karachi Dr Amir Shaikh has on Sunday constituted committee to probe recovery of liquor bottles from room of the hospital where Sharjeel Memon was receiving treatment.
As per details garnered, the three-member committee will be headed by DIG South Javaid Alam Odho. The other two members of team are SSP Investigation South Abdullah Jan and SSP Investigation East Shabir Memom.
In a notification issued earlier today, Additional IG Karachi Dr Amir Shaikh nominated DIG South Javaid Alam Odho as the head of the probe committee. SSP Investigation South Abdullah Jan and SSP Investigation East Shabir Memon are also part of the team.
Earlier today, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar visited Bath Island, Karachi. During interaction with journalists, CJP apprised he conducted raid on a sub-jail rather than on a hospital.
To a question about cleanliness drive in Karachi, CJP responded Karachi’s situation was better than past.
Three bottles of alcohol were recovered from the room of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Shaejeel Memon during the surprise visit of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar at Ziauddin Hospital in Karachi.
According to details, the top judge went to Memon’s room and found the bottles after which, he asked where is attorney general.
When inquired, Sharjeel Memon said that he has nothing to do with these bottles.
