PAKPATTAN (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar reached Pakpattan while using an official helicopter of the provincial government to pay visit to shrine of Baba Fareed.

It seems that the CM has forgotten his claims of austerity as he and his family used official copter all the way to Pakpattan whereas tight security arrangements were also made by the security personnel.

The locals were barred from entering the shrine due to CM’s visit while shops were also closed on the occasion.

On the other hand, Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan said that CM’s use of helicopter comes under privileges.

Talking to Dunya News, he said that no one was dragged out of the shrine of Baba Fareed. He also ordered to launch inquiry into closure of shops during Buzdar’s visit.

Earlier, federal Minister of Information Fawad Chaudhry in an interview to a local news channel, made an astounding disclosure about the cost of the travel of helicopter, being used to commute by Prime Minister Imran Khan from PM house to Bani Gala which costs between 50 to 55 rupees per kilometer.

Chaudhry went on to elaborate on the right of the PM Imran to utilize all the perks offered to his office. Information minister further said that this does not affect the public.
