The MMA leadership has given provincial and district leadership authority for seat adjustment

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) on Wednesday fielded 630 candidates for the national and provincial seats for the forthcoming general elections.

The MMA leadership has also given provincial and district leadership authority for seat adjustment with any political party including Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The MMA was in opposition after winning 68 seats in National Assembly in 2002 and now in 2018 the religious party has fielded more than 600 candidates for the upcoming general elections.

The party has also left open the option of seat adjustment with all political parties.

Despite tense relation between PTI chairman Imran Khan and MMA leader Moulana Fazlur Rehman, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) candidate from Larkana Rashid Mahmood Sarwar has made seat adjustment with PTI’s candidate.

The top brass of the MMA hope to win even more seats than it won in 2002.
