Supreme Court of Pakistan has suspended Ishaq Dars membership of Senate.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has suspended Ishaq Dar’s membership of Senate.

The SC bench led by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case regarding the qualification for Senate elections and inquired about the former Finance Minister. Ishaq Dar’s lawyer Salman Butt told the court that his client is ailing due to which he could not appear in court.

Justice Ijaz ul Hasan said that there is a dsicrepancy between media reports and medical reports. he said whenevre there is a hearing, Ishaq Dar gets sick. The CJP asked Salman Butt to tell the court when is Ishaq Dar coming since he has to appear one day.

Ishaq Dar has submitted a medical certificate in the court according to which, Ishaq Dar is undergoing physiotherapy after which, the option of operation would be weighed. The whole affair could take about 6 to 8 months according to the report.

The court suspended his membership and adjourned the hearing for indefinite period.
