Matters pertaining to mutual interest and ongoing UAE-funded projects came under discussion

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa held separate meeting with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador Hamad Al Zaabi and Turk Chief of General Staff General Hulusi Akar on Thursday.

Matters pertaining to mutual interest, social and defece projects came under discussion during the meetings.

Both the guests acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts in the war against terrorism.

During the meeting with UAE envoy, two sides exchanged ideas on bilateral ties and joint agreements, said the military’s media wing. It was shared that the UAE would launch social projects in rural areas of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the Turk chief of general staff lauded Pakistan’s efforts for elimination of terrorism and regional peace.

The army chief thanked Turkey for supporting Pakistan in the matter of Financial Action Task Force.

Earlier on this arrival at the General Headquarters (GHQ), the Turkish general laid wreath on martyrs’ monument and inspected a guard of honour.
