Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad is in full swing throughout the country.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad is in full swing throughout the country as fierce clashes between armed forces and terrorist continue.

In the operation that began in feb 22nd, 2017, 27 wanted terrorists have been killed so far, while 163 are under arrest. A total of five personnel of Pakistan’s armed forces have embraced martyrdom in this operation.

Apart from direct clashes, 43 out of 56 convicted terrorists have been given death sentence by the military courts.
Around 18835 cases have been filed against the terrorists and the arrestees include the former spokesperson of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Ehsan Ullah Ehsan.

As a result of the operation, there has been a marked increase in terrorist and other crime incidents. In Karachi alone, there was only one incident of terrorism in 2017.

On the Durand line, fencing began and robust check posts and blockades were installed to check the movement of terrorists and criminals. In Bajaur, Mohmand and Waziristan agencies, 160-km fence has been erected along the Afghan border.
