Sindh CM expresses condolences to Intezar's family, assures to provide justice

Number of detained police officers has increased to eight.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) Murad Ali Shah on Monday has expressed condolences to the bereaved family of 19-year-old Intezar Ahmed, who was gunned down by the officers of anti-car lifting cell in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA).



According to details, number of detained police officers has increased to eight.

Earlier, talking to media, family of Intezar Ahmed rejected detained police’s claim to have killed the youth over a personal dispute with another group. They demanded Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa to help bring the criminals to justice.



Meanwhile, preliminary reports suggested that the personnel of anti-car lifting cell shot at least 13 bullets and three of those hit the vehicle.

On the other hand, the personnel maintained that the vehicle did not stop upon instruction which is why fire was opened.
