Second Lt, sepoy embrace martyrdom in terror attack in North Waziristan, confirms ISPR

Militants fired on an army vehicle from surrounding mountains in the agency.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Second Lieutenant Abdul Moeed and Sepoy Basharat on Tuesday embraced martyrdom in a terror attack on army vehicle in North Waziristan.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), militants fired on an army vehicle from surrounding mountains in North Wazirstan Agency. Resultantly, second Lieutenant Abdul Moeed and Sepoy Basharat embraced martyrdom.




21 years old Lt Abdul Moeed, who recently passed out from Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), is a resident of Burewala, Vehari whereas Sepoy Basharat, 21 years old with three years military service, belongs to village Danyor in Gilgit. 

Earlier, on November 21, 28-year-old Major Ishaq embraced martyrdom during intelligence based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan. DG ISPR said that Major Ishaq bravely fought against the militants, adding, "We have a sacred duty at hand of cleansing & defending our motherland; WE SHALL DO IT.”

On November 14, Captain Junaid Hafeez and Sepoy Raham Sher embraced martyrdom while four others injured in a cross-border militant attack on a checkpost in Bajaur Agency near Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Captain Junaid Hafeez hailed from Toba Tek Singh and was 24 years of age while Raham Sher was 27 years of age and belonged to Mardan.

"Lives of forces & citizens equally precious on both sides. Requires elimination of Ts sanctuaries in Afghanistan and effective Afghan border security," Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated.
