The hearing was conducted by the court of judge Muhammad Bashir.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The accountability court has on Wednesday directed former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to appear before it on December 4 to face assets beyond known sources of income reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The court displayed a notification, dated November 21, on notice board ordering Ishaq Dar to appear before it within ten days. On the other hand, Ishaq Dar’s bail guarantor Ahmed Ali Quddusi appeared before the court of judge Muhammad Bashir after break as the court had gone into a recess in the morning to give time to Quddusi to appear.
Quddusi told the court that Dar has undergone angiography in London and he requires three to four weeks to come back to Pakistan after recovery. NAB prosecutor raised objection saying enough time has been given to the former minister, and asked the court to seize the surety bonds.

The court then gave last chance to Ishaq Dar’s bail guarantor to ensure his presence on December 4.
Ahmed Ali Quddusi had on November 24 requested the court to not seize the surety bonds worth five million rupees that he had submitted on the former minister’s behalf, and was then directed by the court to present his arguments in defence by appearing in person today.
It is worth mentioning here that the court had earlier rejected Dar’s petition in which he sought immunity from hearing and had ordered NAB to release advertisement for Dar’s summoning.
Let it be known that Ishaq Dar is in London at present owing to medical reasons and is undergoing heart treatment there. The accountability court has taken severe action against Dar as he continuously missed the hearings of graft reference despite court orders.
