FIA has initiated probe against expensive drugs.

LAHORE (Dunya News)- Out of 81500 life-saving drugs, only 10000 are registered with Drug Regulatory Authority Of Pakistan (DRAP), reported Roznama Dunya on Saturday.

According to details, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned all record from DRAP in this regard. Sources privy to development stated that FIA’s Corporate Crime Circle has initiated probe against drugs available in the Pakistani markets whose price exceeds Rs1 lac as same products are being sold in neighbouring India at relatively lower price.

Inside-aware further narrated that drug companies are setting high prices in the market with connivance of officials of the DRAP’s Pricing & Registration department.

When summoned by FIA’s director Ch Ijaz, DRAP’s Pricing & Registration director Amanullah confessed to absence of complete record of all drug-making companies.
