Corruption case: Court sends Sharjeel Memon on 10-day judicial remand

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The accountability court has sent PPP MPA Sharjeel Inam Memon and other co-accused on judicial remand till November 4 in a case regarding alleged involvement in Rs5.77 billion corruption.

The former provincial information minister was arrested by NAB in the Sindh High Court premises on Monday after the judge dismissed his bail plea.

Sarang Lateef Chandio, Umar Shahzad, Muhammad Haneef and Mansoor Rajput are among 12 accused arrested in the case.

Earlier, the PPP leader requested the court to dispose of detention order until he files petition in Supreme Court (SC). The appeal was subsequently turned down by the high court.
