Khan said that the people of Sindh suffered of corruption more than those in other provinces
SEHWAN SHARIF (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan has said on Sunday that it is now former president Asif Ali Zardari’s turn after one wicket was down .
PTI chief addressed a rally in Sehwan of Pakistan People’s Party-led Sindh the same day Bilawal Bhutto, co-chairman of PPP addressed workers in PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Peshawar.
In his address tonight, Khan said that both Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz came to power turn by turn six times each and the people did not reap benefits of the projects claimed to have been initiated by the leaders.
Khan said that the people of Sindh suffered of corruption more than those in other provinces.
Khan asserted that Pakistani people are devoid of Rs 12 billion worth of development work everyday owing to graft and corruption. He said that if corruption is curbed, people’s issues including those of potable water and education among others could be solved.
He recalled the tragic blast at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine and said that there was no hospital in the area at the time and the wounded as well as the bodies had to be airlifted.
He said that Federal Board of Revenue collects around Rs 3,500 billion worth of tax and resorts to corruption of Rs 3,200 billion. He said that the disqualified premier made his family the ‘Asian tiger’ and not Pakistan Stock Exchange.
Khan said that each Pakistani was indebted of Rs 25,000 whereas today, each of us are indebted of Rs 120,000.
PTI chief claimed that at least Rs 1,000 billion are laundered out of Pakistan every year.
