Amid plummeting economy, Sindh Assembly raises salaries of MPAs by 150pc

MPAs would get Rs1 lac in terms of different allowances

KARACHI (Dunya News)- At time when lower class is battling poverty for survival, Sindh assembly has hiked wages of members of provincial assembly (MPAs) by a whooping 150pc.

Different allowances including petrol, house rent have also been soared by 300pc whereas opposition leader’s status has been raised to that of minister.

Following massive hike, salary of Sindh Chief Minister has augmented to Rs150,000 lacs from Rs35,000. Sindh Assembly’s speaker would also draw Rs1.5 lacs following hike of Rs70000.

MPAs would get Rs1 lac in terms of different allowances. Salary hike would be given from July-2016 following which national exchequer would suffer burden of massive Rs300 million.
