"Why the FATA reforms that were approved by the parliament in 2016 have not been implemented?"

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Member of National Assembly Ayesha Gulalai has said on Tuesday (September 26) that there is one institution that is shouldering its responsibilities the right way and it is the military.

Gulalai talked to the media today and asked why the government was not shouldering its duties. She urged the politicians to not include the army in the political narrative as the institution is working efficiently, according to her.

She asked why FATA reforms that were approved by the parliament in 2016 have not been implemented more than a year later.

Why the government is not merging FATA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, she asked.

The National Assembly member claimed that the funds reserved for FATA have been pocketed by the corruption.

On the other hand, the court was urged today by the counsel of Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief that Gulalai be ordered to turn in more documents in the case.

The court conducted a hearing of the case today lodged by PTI over Gulalai s seat in the National Assembly.

Gulalai and PTI faced eachother in a court after she leveled harrasment allegations against Khan earlier this year and announced partying way with the party citing hindrance in political career.
