Lieutenant Arsalan Alam was martyred at newly established Pakistan Army border post in Rajgal

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited parents of the martyred Lieutenant Arsalan Alam on Monday.

The 22-year-old Lt. Arsalan was martyred by Afghan militants at newly established Pakistan Army border post in Rajgal, Khyber Agency during September 23. Army chief paid a visit on his grave, offered fateha and lauded the efforts of armed forces. "Army and the nation are proud of their martyrs," he said.

According to ISPR, COAS Bajwa praised Lt. Arsalan for giving preference to his country over the family and embracing Shahadat. No one can dare do anything wrong with the country until such brave men are present, he assured.

Gen Bajwa told certain individuals and rival agencies are trying to destablise the country by their conspiracies, adding that they also criticise the armed forces knowingly as they know Pakistan Army will never let them succeed.

"Pak Army will continue to serve the nation and fight challenges along with the nation."

He stressed that only the state has the authority to use power and every enemy of Pakistan is the enemy of armed forces, promising that they will not back away for the supremacy of law and peace. He criticised those living across the border and wanting to separate the land into pieces. "Till we have such young soldiers, we will not let that happen," he said.
