Former PM said that Panama wasn't a case of commissions or kickbacks, had never done corruption

LONDON: (Dunya News) – Former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has on Sunday said that he respected the judges and the right of judiciary so had acted upon the decision but it should have been about Panama papers, reported Dunya News.

Talking to media in London, Nawaz Sharif said that he had never done corruption and even his disqualification wasn’t based on corruption but on a different issue. He said that the entire exercise of accountability was revolving around his family alone.

He added that he had never thought about prolonging his stay in London and was in the British capital only because of his wife’s medical treatment. He prayed to God for Begum Kulsoom Nawaz’s health and said that he was always going to return to Pakistan, despite all the speculation.

Nawaz added that the same judge who gave verdict against him became the overseer of the investigation proceedings as well. What kind of accountability and justice is this?
