Pakistan's DGMO conveyed unflinching resolve of Pakistan Army to ensure security of its population

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – After continuous violations of ceasefire on working boundary on Friday, Pakistan’s Director General Military Operations (DGMO) contacted Indian counterpart and condemned recent unprovoked ceasefire violations that took lives of six citizens at Sialkot and Pasroor, reported Dunya News.

Pakistan and Indian DGMOs established contact on special hotline. Pakistan’s DGMO raised the issue of deliberate targeting of Pakistani civilians residing in vicinity of working boundary in Sialkot and Pasroor. The unprovoked firing took lives of six civilians while injuring 26 others.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan’s DGMO conveyed unflinching resolve of Pakistan Army in ensuring safety of its population and “it shall continue to take all measures to deter any such aggression in future.

On the other hand, Core Commander Gujranwala Lieutenant General Ikram-ul-Haq visited the areas hit by unprovoked firing in Pasroor and Sialkot sectors. He was given a briefing about the ceasefire violations. Core Commander also visited CMH Sialkot to meet the injured citizen.
