87 suspects arrested, weapons recovered during Peshawar search operation

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Security forces on Friday foiled a major terror bid in Peshawar ahead of Eidul Azha.

At least 87 suspects were taken into custody during the raids in Shahgai, Ali Muhammad Banda, Neela Dorai and Mian Morcha areas of the city.
Senior Superintendant Police (SSP) Operations Peshawar Sajjad Khan said that at least 27 rocket mortars, 24 rocket shells, 17 hand-grenade bombs, 16 kalashnikovs, 28 pistols and 17 rifles were recovered in the operation.
He told that the operation was held late night in Khyber Agency and surrounding areas and was aided by political administration.
