Nawaz Sharif to meet family of boy killed in PML-N rally

LALAMUSA (Dunya News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is all set to visit Lalamusa today (Saturday) to condole with the family of the boy who was killed by his motorcade during the GT Road homecoming rally.

The ousted premier will also address a rally in Wazirabad during his tour. It has been learnt that the workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were displeased with Nawaz Sharif for not visiting Wazirabad during his rally.

It is worth mentioning here that a 12-year-old boy named Hamid Chughtai was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Nawaz Sharif’s rally in Gujrat.

Railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique had called the boy "the first martyr of this movement for democracy" in an address to the thousands-strong crowd in nearby Gujrat.

One of the vehicles in the motorcade hit and killed the boy as he crossed a divider on the road, the minister said.

Nawaz Sharif had also said in his Gujrat speech that he would personally visit the boy’s home "and try to help his family for life".
