PM Abbasi directs strict orders against displaying PM's image in state advertisements

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi directed authorities against displaying premier s image in state advertisements, stricting ordering officials to refrain the usual practice.

The notice addressing ministries, administrative divisions along with government and state departments was released by the Ministry of Information. It stated that picture of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi should not be displayed or attached with the state ads. 

PM Abbasi was elected the Prime Minister of Pakistan on August 1st, 2017 after Apex court s ruling on Panama case led to disqualfication of ex-premier Nawaz Sharif. This resulted in vacancy of the seat of NA-120 constituency. 

PM Abbasi was nominated as candidate for Prime Minister from the ruling party PML-N. He hails from Murree and has been elected time and again from 1985. In the current term of PML-N, he has also served as Petroleum Minister and the CEO of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
