Restriction imposed on providing protocol to VIPs at airports
The directives were issued in a letter.
KARACHI (Dunya News)- Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has barred its official from giving protocol to VIPs at airports countrywide and warned of departmental inquiry against violation of directives, reported Roznama Dunya on Wednesday.
Instructions issued by director immigration state that immigration counters would be monitor through CCTV cameras.
“Immigration staff would be suspended if any officer gives protocol at any counter whereas stern action would also be taken against the shift in-charge and other staff,” read the statement.
FIA have also issued clear directives not to harass passengers travelling abroad. Officials stated that ban was slapped on protocol over directives issued by security watchdog.
