Ahsan urges political parties to shun differences to secure Pakistan's future

The minister inquired after the health condition of the people injured in the suicide bomb attack.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Speaking to media after inquiring about health of those injured in yesterday s blast in Quetta, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal appealed to all political parties to shun political differences for securing future of Pakistan.

He said that we are fighting a war against terrorism and we have to ensure internal unity in our ranks.

On the occasion, Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri directed the health officials to provide all possible medical facilities to the people injured in the incident.

Earlier, a high level emergency meeting was held in Quetta to review law and order situation in Balochistan in the wake of suicide bomb attack on a security force’s vehicle at Pishin Stop.

Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri presided over the meeting . Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Aamir Riaz, Provincial Home Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and other high ranking civil and military officials attended the meeting.

In her statement on Saturday, Minister of state for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage, Marriyum Aurangzeb condemned the terrorist attack in Quetta on the security personnel which resulted in the loss of 15 lives and injuries to more than 30 others. She said that such dastardly and cowardly acts could not weaken our resolve as the entire nation was united against the scourge of terrorism.

She said that the nation was proud of the valiant armed forces of Pakistan who were fighting against the terrorists with unswerving resolve and determination. She said that it was due to the sacrifices of these martyrs that Pakistan was winning the war against terrorism.

The minister expressed her heart-felt sympathies and condolences with the families who lost their loved ones in the attack prayed for early recovery of those who sustained injuries in the heinous enactment.
