Water cannon, tear gas for protesting YDA in Lahore
Protesters attempted to enter GOR One but the bid was failed by law enforcers
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Law enforcers have water-cannoned protesters of Young Doctors Association (YDA) after they took to Mall Road seeking compliance of the government with their demands.
Police resorted to the use of water cannon after the protesters attempted to enter GOR One. Several medics have been detained for resisting police actions.
YDA members have announced to boycott all hospitals in the metropolis.
DIG Operations Haider Ashraf said that the authorities have been attempting to hold talks with the protesting body since yesterday.
Latest reports suggest that Jail Road has been shut for all kinds of traffic.
Reportedly, a woman patient succumbed to her ailment owing to lack of timely treatment in backdrop of the protest.
